The Greater Mapungubwe Transfrontier Park should soon be a reality. The most obvious result of this will be the removal of fences in the area, and harmonising conservation management plans between Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa. One of the benefits of this transfrontier area will be a tourism border post so that visitors to the park won’t have to go through Beitbridge anymore.
